Regarding the discussion on minimum range – from the perspective of a Warrior, I can tell you with certainty that if Hunters could shoot at melee range, they would be too powerful in PvP. Any other ranged class is soft and – notably – they can be interrupted and silenced. Hunters are not susceptible to that. They would massacre people.
