This week, we’re joined by Zeherah, creator of femaledwarf.com, and the most recent of three dwarven hunters to receive an in-game item named after her! We talk about OMG’s triumphant display of hunter PvP, and how it doesn’t mean we aren’t due for some buffs, as well as the buffs to BM DPS.

Hunting Party Podcast, Episode 104

Posted in shows on October 26th, 2011 by Darkbrew – 1 Comment

It’s a very Hunter Blizzcon folks! Darkbrew and Euripides talk about the hunter changes and break down the new talent system and what it means for PvE and PvP.

Frostheim reports live from the event where his Ghostcrawler tracker was in full working order. Frostheim tells us what GC had to say on a number of topics such as PvP, dual-wielding, GC’s favorite hunter podcast, and the possibility of a certain female dwarf getting and in-game item in patch 4.3.

Hunting Party Podcast, Episode 103

Posted in shows on October 26th, 2011 by Darkbrew – 2 Comments

This episode, both Euripides and Frostheim are down and out with Feral Druid Mange. In the spirit of the show must go on we brought in long-time listenter AFKRogue to co-host with Darkbrew. Yes folks, we have rogue who listens to our show!

In addition to being a rogue, he’s Frost’s former raid leader. We talk a little bit about Frost’s raiding days, and AFKRogue also gives us some insight on how to kill Rogues in PvP (not that we didn’t know how to do that already).

Hunting Party Podcast, Episode 101

Posted in shows on October 3rd, 2011 by Euripides – Be the first to comment

This episode, we get right back to your regular scheduled hunter programming. We barely have time to get over a third of the things that happened since our last real (non-drunken) show, and still managed to make a few factual errors. We talk about the 4t12 set bug, and it turns out that despite what we said on air, it actually allows hunters to fire more than one free shot. Also, despite Frostheim’s protests, the current cast time on aimed, steady, and cobra shots are indeed shortened by 0.5 seconds. In his defense, I made him turn off the PTR download during the podcast because it was making him sound worse than usual.

Hunting Party Podcast, Episode 100 Extravaganza

Posted in shows on October 1st, 2011 by Euripides – 2 Comments

It’s hard to believe we’ve done 100 episodes. We celebrated by having Darkbrew and Euripides travel thousands of miles to Frostheim’s city so we could record the show live and in person. We had Michele Morrow as a co-host, Zeherah, Dawn Moore, and BRK as guests, and hundreds of live listeners on the stream. We also played the new revised drinking game, and compared some of our predictions from earlier episodes to what ended up happening.

Also, as a bonus this one time only, since none of us could excuse ourselves to do dishes or have real lives, we ran the an epic post show where we kept answering listener questions until they were done. This took hours, and was recorded. Unfortunately, it’s too long, too unstructured, and a little too profane for iTunes, so we will release that as a separate download.

The WHU killed a massive whale with low level hunters, Boz updated the drinking game (uh oh), and Darkbrew and Euripides will be flying down to beautiful Minnesota to record episode 100 with Frost, live! Also, Blizzard has asked hunters for design feedback, and Firelands was nerfed harder than BM was the first Wrath patch.
